Join us to experience the beauty, fun & bounty of the Chesapeake Bay as we return to Somers Cove Marina in Crisfield MD to the crab capital of the Bay after an absence of 6 years! We plan to have an exciting event with hands-on encounters laced with Eastern Shore & Crisfield heritage.

Based upon the total number of slip registrations, rates are as follows:
Daily rate from $1.95 to $2.25 per foot
Weekly rate from $8.20 to $9.00 per foot

Somers Cove Marina is located on Maryland’s Eastern Shore in the historic waterfront town of Crisfield. Crisfield sunsets rival that of any location on the Chesapeake Bay for splendor & spectacular viewing. The marina is comprised of 515 slips (including a transient floating pier and extended fuel dock), launching ramps, clean and modern bath houses, laundry rooms, large and small pavilions, swimming pools and other amenities.

A block of rooms is reserved at Rodeway Inn, which recently underwent a major renovation. Rodeway is located along the rear docks in the marina basin, a short walk or drive from the marina entrance. Rooms (king, double, handicapped) are all at the MTOA rate of $100.00 per night. To reserve call the hotel directly and refer to the MTOA rate. (Pet fee for those bringing pets is $25 per night for up to 2 pets.)
There are also numerous Airbnb & Bed & Breakfast opportunities nearby for couples to rent &/or partner up.
Coming by RV?
There is 1 space available at Somers Cove Marina. Call the Marina at 410-968-0925 to reserve. Cost is $2.25 per foot with electric at the same rate as for the boat slips of $4.00 for 30 amp & 8.00 for 50 amp. A valid credit card number is required to hold the RV spot but will not be charged until arrival.

This is a very popular state park. Reserve early.

Cost for the Rendezvous is $ 150.00_PER PERSON
Rendezvous cost includes seminars, entertainment, daily snacks & beverage station (juice, coffee, tea, water, iced tea, lemonade & sodas). There will be the fully stocked GAS Station open every morning & afternoon with hot & cold beverages, snacks, fruit, continental breakfast items including yogurt, hard boiled eggs, muffins and protein bars. Meals provided are: 1 full breakfast, 2 lunches & 3 dinners, an ice cream sundae party and sponsor provided welcome reception.
Rendezvous cost is fully refundable if the event is cancelled. If your personal situation requires cancellation, it is due by September 4.
Please note that the cancellation deadline for a Rendezvous &/or the Smith Island Cruise refund is September 4.
Please note that the Marina Slip cancellation deadline for a refund is noon Friday September 12. Slip cancellations made after Friday, September 12 incur a $25.00 cancellation fee. Cancellations made after noon the day prior to arrival will be charged a one-night stay cancellation fee. Somers Cove Marina cannot waive any fees or deposits charged by Dockwa /Snag-A-Slip. However, Somers Cove Marina will offer an automatic 10% discount to Dockwa and Snag-A-Slip reservations between September 13 - 24th. Call Somers Cove Marina directly to cancel.
Provided meals:
All meals will be served on-site except for the closing banquet which will be at the Crab Place nearby. Note regarding dietary needs &/or restrictions. Please provide in detail any dietary needs when completing each person’s registration information so that we can accommodate & provide acceptable & tasty options. Catering provided by Billie’s Catering.
Monday, September 15
The Rendezvous opens for registration, ongoing arrivals and the premier of the not to be missed Welcome to MTOA - Everything You Need to Know session in the early afternoon. We’ll then enjoy a welcome social hour followed by a group POTLUCK dinner. We’re asking everyone to bring a Potluck dish- a salad, heavy appetizer or main dish- to complement a catered main dish of meatballs, sauce and hoagie rolls. Dessert will be freshly prepared Ice Cream Sundaes.
Tuesday, September 16
Lunch – variety of subs, salads, cookies & brownies
Dinner – Charcuterie boards, pulled pork, beef ribs, grilled vegetables, baked beans, green beans, cornbread, cookies & banana pudding.
Wednesday, September 17
Lunch – The famous MTOA Hot Dog Lunch with dogs, (meat & plant based), sauerkraut, beans, salad, chips.
Dinner – Somers Cove Marina & the famous Ben Sanderson are hosting a Gigantic all you can peel CRAB & CORN FEAST! There will also be BBQ Chicken, corn on the cob and a mystery salad.
Thursday, September 18
Breakfast – Scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage, ham, shredded hash browns, fruit, donuts, toast & bagels during the MTOA Annual Meeting.
Dinner – The Closing Banquet- shrimp cocktail, Swedish meatballs, prime rib, rockfish, crab balls, baked potato charcuterie board, steamed broccoli, cake & rice pudding.
Activities
The lineup is still being finalized but promises to be a fun, interactive & informative event! We’re planning crab picking, crab races, tour of the Crisfield USCG Station & its Icebreaker, a trot lining demonstration, tour of the Crisfield Heritage Foundation’s Museum, Smith Island cake demo, daily flea market, green ribbon boat tours & parasailing along with informational sessions on all things boating & MTOA that we’ve come to rely on for our boat maintenance, safety & maritime exploring. The program will be posted when it’s finalized along with our generous sponsors.
Optional Excursion – Friday September 19
Take advantage of the great weekly rate & stay for a fun extra day & cruise with us back in time to Smith Island aboard the ‘Chelsea Lane Tyler’ tour boat to Ewell. Visit the Smith Island Museum, the Ewell United Methodist Cemetery, the crab shanties & workboats plying their craft on an island that is receding into the Bay.
The cost of this cruise is $ 35.00.
Optional Rendezvous Tee Shirt is $ 18.00. The MTOA turtle burgee is on the front left chest with the Rendezvous crab & turtle logo on the center back. Gilden ultra cotton. Men's crew neck, women's vee neck.
