The Perfect Great Loop Boat & Liveaboard Trawler
HUGUENOT is a proven Great Loop veteran that blends classic Mainship trawler efficiency with thoughtful upgrades, excellent accommodations, and meticulous ownership. Powered by a dependable single Yanmar 370 HP diesel, she is economical, easy to handle, and exceptionally well suited for extended cruising or comfortable full‑time liveaboard life.
Her flag blue painted hull, generous outdoor living spaces, and bright, open interior allow HUGUENOT to stand out both at the dock and underway. This is not a project boat and not a compromise — she is a turnkey cruiser that is ready to cast off today.
Why HUGUENOT Stands Out
With her 16’4” mast‑down bridge clearance, shallow 3’8” draft, excellent fuel capacity, and proven reliability, HUGUENOT is exceptionally well suited for the Great Loop, coastal cruising, or full‑time living aboard.

Vessel Walkthrough
From the fiberglass swim platform, you enter the hardtop‑covered aft deck via the transom gate. From the aft deck, you have same‑level access to both side decks, molded‑in steps to the flybridge and sundeck, or double aluminum‑and‑glass doors leading into the salon.
Inside the salon, the galley is to starboard, with the lower helm and side‑deck access door forward to starboard. To port is a sofa with storage, and forward is the dinette with bench seating and custom storage. A short step down leads to the companionway with access to the guest stateroom to port, the head with enclosed shower to starboard, and the master stateroom forward. Engine room access is via salon sole hatches.
We absolutely love enjoying the panoramic views through the large windows and double doors in the salon. All the windows and hatches have screens which allow us to enjoy the cool mornings and evenings and days underway.
Lower Helm
The lower helm offers excellent visibility and convenient side‑deck access, with full electronics, searchlight control, anchor windlass control, engine controls, bow thruster control, trim tabs, and below‑sole equipment access.
Master Stateroom (Forward)
The master stateroom features an island queen berth with storage underneath, cedar‑lined hanging lockers, storage drawers and cabinets, custom shoe storage, two portlights, an overhead hatch with Oceanair screen/shade, reading lights, and direct access to the head with enclosed shower.
Guest Stateroom (Port)
The guest stateroom offers side‑by‑side single berths with storage underneath, an insert to convert them into a double berth, a hanging locker, storage cabinets, a portlight, and an overhead hatch with screen. The head with enclosed shower is directly across the companionway.
Flybridge & Outdoor Living
The flybridge is a highlight, offering excellent visibility, comfortable seating, and full electronics — protected by a Bimini and new Isinglass enclosure (2025) with added screens for year‑round use.
Aft of the flybridge, the sundeck provides stainless rails, molded‑in steps to the aft deck, deck chairs, a removable table, hinged mast base, stainless tender davits, and a wet bar with sink, grill, refrigerator, and storage.
The aft deck is hardtop‑covered and includes same‑level side‑deck access, molded steps, lazarette access, transom storage, fold‑down boarding steps, and a hot/cold freshwater shower.
