Join local historian Joyce Poremski of the Plymouth Antiquarian Society for a guided walk through downtown Plymouth, exploring the town’s Revolutionary War history, key sites, and the impact of the war on its citizens. $15 per person
Vineyard Haven, Martha’s Vineyard
Every summer since 1977, the Maine Windjammer Association has hosted the Great Schooner Race, providing an opportunity for captains, crews and passengers aboard traditional vessels from all over the Eastern Seaboard to rendezvous for a fun day of racing.
Hailed as “the largest annual gathering of traditional schooners in America,” this year at least twenty schooners are expected to participate in the 46th Annual Great Schooner Race scheduled to take place on Friday, July 4th, 2025 in Penobscot Bay.

DCR Hatch Shell, Charles River Esplanade
Celebrate July 4th with music by Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops and special guest stars. 2025 marks the 51st year of the Fireworks Spectacular and Lockhart’s 30th anniversary as Pops conductor. Gates to the Oval lawn in front of the Hatch Shell open at 12 noon, concert begins at 8 pm, and fireworks over the Charles River follow around 10:30 pm. Free and open to the public (no ticket required).
Enjoy the Edgartown 4th of July parade and spectacular fireworks show overlooking the Edgartown Lighthouse & harbor! The festivities kick off at 5pm with the parade and the fireworks start at dusk.

Blue Monday Concerts return to Mystic River Park for three free concerts on Monday July 7th, July 14th and July 21st from 6:00 PM to 8:00PM. The concert series is a fundraiser for the Stonington Education Fund and the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center.

Wicked Lo-Down (July 14)
and The Hoolios (July 21)

On the First Friday of the month May through October, rain or shine, the artists, galleries, shops and showrooms of the Plymouth Bay Cultural District open their doors to the public for an evening of art, culture and inspiration.
Galleries, museums, shops and restaurants will host exhibitions and other activities for people to enjoy as the walk through the Plymouth Bay Cultural District, which covers the waterfront and downtown areas.
The Fireworks Show is a three-decade long tradition staged over Three Mile Harbor in East Hampton. The fireworks almost faded into history, but in 2009, The Clamshell Foundation revived the popular event and has taken it over every year since. The fireworks is an important tradition in East Hampton and was one of our founders, Rossetti Perchick, favorite nights of the year.

The North Atlantic Blues Festival is an annual two-day blues music festival featuring national blues performers and considered one of the most prestigious on the East Coast. The festival is held at the Public Landing in Rockland, Maine, overlooking the picturesque Rockland Harbor. Some of the top names in blues music have been featured. In addition to all day live entertainment, the festival has vendors selling a wide array of food, drinks and crafts. Saturday evening Main Street is closed to traffic for the NABF Club Crawl.
Enjoy a traditional New England breakfast, served on the grounds of one of Plymouth’s oldest surviving homes, with period singers performing 17th century folk songs and hymns. $18 per person
